Well, here's another moment where President Obama continues to prove that he still thinks the American People are a stupid herd of sheep. (Not to malign sheep...I love those wooley little animals).
The latest thing now seems to be that he wants to change the name from "The Bush Tax Cuts" to "The Obama Tax Cuts", and take credit for something he has never had any creative part in forming: just so he can appear as having accomplished something good in the eyes of the American people!
Does he think we won't notice? Or that we won't see through the deception? Or that we won't care?
I fear the answer is "yes" and this is why:
For so many years we've grumbled among ourselves every morning while drinking our coffee regarding things going on in Congress only to end these grumblings with, "...but what can you do? They'll do whatever they want, anyway..."
Then we went to work where we grumbled with others about how our government doesn't care about 'the little guy'.
At day's end, we went home, drank a beer or two, paid our bills while robbing Peter to pay Paul, and then watched tv until our minds dulled from the hassels of the day.
In the morning, the routine started all over again.
We've done this for years, folks! We've sat back, letting a handful of people or organizations fight our battles for us while we stayed on the sidelines...hoping they'd win but being all too sure that the inevitable outcome would be to lose.
Oh sure, some of us would go out and vote in Presidential Elections but for the most part, the vast majority of us stayed home believing that our one little vote didn't really matter, anyways.
Why did we feel this way? Because we firmly believed that there really wasn't anything a common person could do to sway the towering political machine in Washington D. C.!
After all...they're Senators, Congressmen, and REALLY SMART PEOPLE WITH A LOT OF EDUCATION UNDER THEIR BELTS! How could a farmer...a plumber...a contractor...a nurse...a grocery clerk...a housewife, etc, compete against that?!
And let's face it...the majority of candidates mouthed words that they believed we wanted to hear while doing a 'flip-flop' once in office and becoming nothing like the person we voted for! Why go out of our way to cast our one little vote for another corrupt politician?
With this kind of history, why should we now be surprised that they continue to treat us as imbeciles!
Except now...finally...the political landscape has changed even though President Obama doesn't want to admit it. THE TEA PARTY HAS BEEN BORN! We The People have finally had enough!
All races, all nationalities, all Common People who have become MORE than fed up with the corruption and lack of true representation in our government have joined together to take back our country from those who are working so hard to strangle it!
President Obama and the majority of news media continue in their attempts to downplay the importance of the Tea Party.
They even try to make the Tea Party seem like a racist organization or a bunch of 'rednecks' in order to discredit the common people who have risen up in one voice against them.
But this time we're not listening to their deceit!
We know that they know We The People are their greatest threat against their retaining power over the demolition of this great country. We want this demolition stopped...immediately!
So go ahead, Mr. Obama, and change the name to "The Obama Tax Cuts". But we know better. And we will remember. And so will you in 2012 when you receive your pink slip...because YOU'RE FIRED!
