Sadly, I must eat some crow here. On a previous article dealing with the National Day of Prayer and Obama, I helped to foster the belief that Obama wanted to cancel this prayerful day for 2011. This is not the case. All Obama did for 2010 was to scale down the president's involvement in this day while still allowing the usual observances to proceed in other areas of the White House. For 2011, these scaled-down plans remain with no noted intention to stop anyone's observance of The National Day of Prayer...nor to get rid of this day with the swipe of a pen. I 'religiously' study our Constitution as well as the actions of Obama and this current administration...and have found, like many of you, that this administration thinks nothing of circumventing our Constitution. But I do not put facts into print unless and until I have found out for myself what the true story is. And this involves my checking out Fox News, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Google, etc, etc, etc!! To say this is time-consuming is an understatement! However, this time I broke my own rule of "check it out before you write" and I wrote before learning what the truth was...and crow is what I get, now. I was wrong about the National Day of Prayer and Obama, and did not check out the facts before following the 'crowd.' I promise to do better in the future. And if I screw up (since I'm only human), you can let me know...as long as we deal with facts and not emotionalism. (If you jump up and down while yelling at me, and I jump up and down while yelling at you...well...neither one of us will ever hear what the other person has to say! Lol!). While I do not like the way Obama and this administration circumvents our Constitution in order to pass whatever law they desire...or act in an unconstitutional manner...I absolutely will not lie about them. If any side has to be a liar, let it be them...not us. Lord knows they do enough things we can point to without our needing to lie about them! And a Special Thanks to my friend, Frank Coates, who pointed out the true facts regarding Obama and the National Day of Prayer. Thank God I have good friends to keep me on the straight and narrow!
